Meet Ryan, former butcher turned AV Technician. Turns out the precision needed for a perfect cut translates surprisingly well to AV work! He’s quickly become known for his meticulous attention to detail and ability to stay cool under pressure.

Our warehouse manager is quite a character – always cracking jokes that keep the team laughing. And you should see their faces light up whenever they talk about their favourite heavy metal bands. It’s a unique blend of humour and rock that really sets him apart!

James is the wizard who keeps all our AV systems running smoothly. He’s been rescuing clients from tech troubles for the past two years. James has a real talent for diagnosing issues quickly and explaining them in a way that doesn’t make your head spin.

Galo’s our AV design engineer, and the creative mind behind our audiovisual setups, always coming up with innovative solutions. Originally from Ecuador, Galo recently made the big move to Perth with his family, bringing a fresh perspective to our projects.

David joined our team in 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise to the role of Service Manager. His arrival marked a significant enhancement in our service delivery capabilities. With a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction, David has implemented several innovative strategies that have streamlined our operations and improved client experiences.

Aiden’s the guy who makes sure all our audiovisual projects come together perfectly. He’s great at explaining tech stuff in a way that makes sense to everyone. Aiden has a great sense of humor that comes in handy when tech inevitably acts up!

Aaron, Focus AV’s skilled software engineer, creates beautiful user interfaces. His expertise in multiple programming languages and passion for problem-solving drive the development of seamless applications, enhancing user experiences across our products.

In 2023, our team was fortunate to welcome Matthew, who stepped into the pivotal role of Projects Manager. With an impressive track record in project management, Matthew brought a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to our operations. His analytical skills, combined with an innovative approach to problem-solving, have been instrumental in driving our projects forward.

Our sales colleague is not only persuasive in the sales but also has a hidden talent for creating music tracks at home. It’s fascinating how he blend his passion for music with his knack for sales, often bringing the same creativity and enthusiasm to both fields.

Part of our team since 2020, Corey is a fast learner with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. He helps us provide our clients with functional and aesthetically pleasing equipment. So they can achieve the AV goals envisioned for each space.

Outside of work, Corey enjoys spending time with his partner, and playing football and video games with his friends.

Jake’s been a dedicated member of our installation team since 2022. His commitment to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction means he fits right in at Focus AV. His enthusiasm and eagerness for all things AV make him a pleasure to work with. For us – and our customers.

He spends his downtime playing guitar, breakdancing, collaborating on creative projects and socialising with his friends.

Rhys is a qualified electrician who’s been with Focus AV since 2019. As our tallest team member, he can usually reach anything on site without needing a ladder! Joking aside – he’s seriously efficient and a true problem solver. If we encounter a tricky situation, we can always depend on him to find a way through.

Away from work, he loves to go camping but his #1 passion is surfing.

Michael has had the same approach to his work since he joined Focus AV. He never gives up and will do whatever it takes to solve an issue. He spends hours tapping away at his keyboard, creating code to bring new AV systems to life. But he loves a dad joke, and is extremely friendly, which means he’s great away from the keyboard too.

Drew joined our team in 2020. As a project manager, he oversees the scheduling that keeps our projects running smoothly. And he’s the liaison point for customers – and technicians. Drew’s friendly nature makes him easy to deal with. He is level-headed under pressure and excellent at keeping communication channels open.

Away from work, Drew’s a keen surfer who also loves relaxing with his wife and kids.

Nathan has taken care of our sales, pre-sales design, and relationship and account management since 2018. He spends his workdays meeting people across different organisations and roles. Then he problem-solves their AV tech issues to find realistic and intuitive solutions. He has a close working relationship with our whole team.

Nathan’s an avid video gamer. But he’s happiest hanging out with his family (and Labradoodle).

Brooke’s been an invaluable member of our team since 2018. We rely on her to keep our accounts running smoothly. She also manages our payroll and, luckily for us, her favourite part of the job is working with amazing people.

When she’s not crunching our numbers, Brooke is happy to head to a CrossFit session. Or stay home and get stuck into some renovating. She loves any opportunity to travel with her family.

Don’t tell Colin, but we call him “The Encyclopedia”. His deep curiosity about technology started as a kid when his dad gave him some old audio equipment to play with… He took it apart. Then re-built it. Until he could understand what made it tick. He’s been doing the same thing with technology and systems ever since.

Managing Director, Colins is always ready to field curly questions. Happy to share his (encyclopaedic) knowledge. And quick to laugh – especially at himself.
